Configuring Outlook (IMAP)

For use on Outlook 2010, 2013 and 2016

1. Go to File > Info > Add Account

2. Click on 'Manual Setup or Additional Server types' and click Next.

3. Choose the service as POP or IMAP

4. Enter your mail information where prompted:

Username: *Full email address*
Password: **email password**
Account Type: IMAP

Incoming Server: *Your servers address*
Outgoing Server: *Your servers address*
Username: *Full email address*
Password: **email password**

It should look something like this:

5. Click the 'More Settings' button.

6. Click the 'Outgoing Server' Tab and tick 'My Outgoing Server requires authentication' and then tick 'use same settings as Incoming Server':

7. Under the 'Advanced' tab use the following settings:

+ Incoming server
Encryption Method: SSL
Port 993

+ Outgoing Server
Encryption Method: SSL
Port 465

It should look like this:



8. Click 'Ok' to save and close More Settings window

9. Then click 'Next' which should test your new settings.

If the Account Does work. This should show as both incoming and outgoing tests as Completed:

10. Click Close and then Finish where outlook should now display your mail account and begin syncing your mail
