Deleting a user permanently removes their mailbox unless you back it up first.
Log in to SmarterMail
Go to Settings
Select Domains
Choose the domain
Click Users
Select the user you want to remove
Click Delete
Confirm the deletion
To avoid data loss, consider one of these options first:
Use Mailbox Export (if enabled)
Or back up the user’s mailbox folder at the file system level
Set up mail forwarding
Or convert the address to an alias on another user
