In order to reconfigure an IOS Device (iphone, iPad) to keep the sent, drafts or deleted messages on the mail server or to update this to a specific folder, you will first need to open the built-in iPhone mail client and then browse the following folders for your account:
Drafts Mailbox
Sent Mailbox
Deleted Mailbox
Next step is to open Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Tap your email account -> Select the displayed IMAP account -> Advanced Settings -> Mailbox Behavior.
You should now see the 3 options near the top:
Drafts Mailbox
Sent Mailbox
Deleted Mailbox
Tapping on one these options lead to a page that allows you to configure how your device stores a copy of drafts, sent or deleted messages.
Each page will display a folder list taken from the available folders on the server. You can then choose one of the folders in this directory list under the "On the server" section in order to set the mail client to store the messages there.
