[RESOLVED] Network Interuption

We are aware of packet loss issue effecting one of our ranges.

Networks are currently looking into this.

We will update regarding this as soon as we are able.

However it is important to note this is only effecting a limited number of addresses and this is connectivity as opposed to hardware or service related.

[update 1510hrs]

Networks have mitigated a distributed denial of service attack against a customer.

Access and connectivity have been restored.

We consider this matter resolved.

Should you continue to have problems please do not hesitate to contact us with specifics of the matter to so we can look into this further for you.

[COMPLETED] - At Risk Notification - UPS Maintentance 17th and 18th August

As part of our continuous service improvement program we will be conducting work on our UPS systems to replace ageing batteries and near end of life components. This work is necessary in order to maintain high levels of redundancy on our power infrastructure.

This work will be completed with our partners and overseen by senior management on site. The work touches all of our UPS systems in both Turing House - one of our Manchester hosting locations, however only one (out of ten) devices will be worked on at a time to ensure minimal risk.

All components are modular and RAMS and Method Statements are in place to ensure that UPS redundancy and capacity are maintained throughout the exercise. We do not expect this work to be service affecting but as with any work on key infrastructure the Manchester facilities should be considered at low risk for the duration of the works.

This only effects services delivered from Turing House.

[COMPLETED] - At Risk Notification 23:00 BST 10th August 2016

Advance notice of network engineering works.

Our network team will be making changes to our network routing configuration to prepare for future essential works.

These changes will occur within a 2 hour window from 23:00 BST on 10th August 2016.

If any problems do arise that threaten normal service the changes will be reversed.

No disruption is expected or planned during this period however the period should be considered at risk.

[Advisory] cPanel6 maintenance

We will be undertaking some work over the course of today (21/07/2016) on our cPanel6 ( server to migrate to new hardware.

We do not anticipate any outages to services while this is ongoing.  However should you see any issues during this please get in touch with (01745 586 070)

[ ADVISORY ] Difficulties reaching our network

We are experiencing a high number of support incidents today regarding inabillity to get to our network.

Research around this - given that we have sound service delivery and no incidents this morning shows issues with the BT network.

This is immediately presenting as issues with BT Home, BT Business, Entanet, Plusnet and anyone with leased lines.

The issue appears to be presenting as partial routing or DNS failure.

The latter is currently showing an issue with the majority of the UK.

[UPDATE 10am]

Network team are confirming that they saw a traffic drop off at the BT peering points by about 50% at 7am this morning.

While we have heard reports that BT phone support are suggesting that there are no issues - their twitter account is reporting:

"Some BT Broadband customers have reported problems accessing websites this morning. Sorry, we're aware of a problem & working to fix asap"
