Configuring Outlook (IMAP)

For use on Outlook 2010, 2013 and 2016

 

In Outlook, launch 'File' > ‘Account Settings’ > ‘Account Settings’.

A new window will appear, click the 'New' option to add a new Account.

Tick the option to ‘Configure the Account manually’ and choose the type as IMAP.

The recommended settings for your IMAP Account:

Username: *Full email address*
Password: **email password**
Account Type: IMAP

** Your incoming and outgoing server may vary, please contact support for clarification**
Incoming Server: mail5.hostinguk.net
Outgoing Server: mail5.hostinguk.net
Username: *Full email address*
Password: **email password**

Click the 'More Settings' button.

Under 'Outgoing Server' Tab, Tick 'My Outgoing Server requires authentication' and then tick 'use same settings as Incoming Server'.

Under the 'Advanced' tab use the following settings:
+ Incoming server
Encryption Method: SSL
Port 993

+ Outgoing Server
Encryption Method: SSL
Port 465

Click 'Ok' to save the changes and close the window. Then click 'Next' which should test your new settings.
