How to cancel a Plesk subscription
Posted by - NA - on 03 August 2009 02:55 PM

In order to cancel a subscription in Plesk you need to submit a SUBSCRIPTION TERMINATION REQUEST

1. Log in to your control panel
2. From the 'My Account' tab select 'Subscriptions'
3. Click on the hyperlink to the subscription you wish to cancel
4. From the next screen, select the hyperlink 'Request Subscription Termination' from the menu on the right
5. In the next screen you are given a section for further information, please include here any instructions regarding DNS changes, reasons for cancellation, etc.
6. Click the 'Save' button

Once the request has been submitted, your subscription will be scheduled for cancellation just before the next renewal is due.

Note:

Domain names and shared hosting services are on separate subscriptions, if you want to cancel the hosting service and the domain name renewal, you need to submit a separate termination request for each of these.

You can submit a termination request for a domain name at any time before the domain is due for renewal, the domain will remain registered to you for the full purchased period but submitting a termination request will ensure it won't be renewed automatically at the renewal date.

You may still receive reminder emails about the subscription up to the date for renewal, this is because the subscription is still active for the initial purchase period.  If you have any concerns you can check that a subscription request has been submitted by following points 1 to 4 above, if the 'Submit Termination Request' option is no longer listed, this means the request has definitely been submitted.
